The Southeast Chapter of the Tennessee Paralegal Association (“SETPA”) has the proud legacy to be the founding chapter of the TPA. TPA was founded here in Chattanooga in 1980 by four paralegals with a vision for what the future of the paralegal profession held. They believed that through self-reliance, sharing experiences, and embracing continuing education, Tennessee paralegals would rank among the nation’s most sought after legal paraprofessionals. A quarter of a century later, their vision has become reality and the Southeast Chapter is proud to carry on the tradition of “promoting the paralegal profession in Tennessee since 1980.”
